Fall is definately here...the leaves are falling and covering the ground. It has rained so much that we have to wait for theleaves to dry out before we can rake them up. Even thought fall is here, it has been mild enough for my tomatoes to keep giving to me! YUMMO

So, what is a "farm girl" to do on days when there is not garden to attend to? I do cross stitch to keep my hands busy, of course!!!! The shoe shopper and the book mark are exchanges I participated in and sent off.... It is very rare that I keep the things that I do but I am starting a Herbs and Spice cross stitch that I am planning on keeping....

We have had beans,snap peas , peppers, zuccini and tomatoes from the garden...and the season is winding down.... I now know how I will do things differently next year.

I think I am going to be posting more over here...so stay tuned and learn aobut my life here on my little "farm"

I am pleased with the way the peas have come up and so disappointed with the carrots, onions and the lettuce. I planted them all at the same time and I don't see anything coming up....

and I cannot get the pictures to post here....probably an aol problem...grrrrr

we planted 2 Square foot gardens (SFG) in the first one, we have 1 square cucumbers , 1zuccini and 2snap peas in the back row,,, in the next row we have 2 blue lake bush beans and 1 roma ll bush beans and 1 pepper plant in the next row we have 2 chives and 2 long white onions and in the fronst row mesculin gourmet mix lettuce
in the 2 SFG we have tomato plants in the back row, the next row we have pepper plants, the next row we have1 romall bush beans , 2 carrots and 1 oregano in the front row we have 1oregano, 2 basil and 1 lettuce

I am hoping to get a smallish garden started this year using the Square Foot Gardening Method. I will take you along with me on my journey. I will be posting pictures as I can.
While I am wating for my supplies to arrive, I thought I would share pictures of things I all ready have growing around here. Once I have all this figured out, I will be adding more stuff!!!
