Teen is in the 4th row in the right, at the very end. and jus tin case you think this is the whole graduating class of 2010, to the left of the table is the other half of the class. I believe the class was 365 strong.

hot day in the garden

yes, I did water the garden. less than 24 hours ago and it is wilting aall ready! it is hotter than hot out there. I would say hades but I am not sure how hot that is....

As you can see, I have tomatoes and zuccinis growing!! Yummo!!! I am sad to say that there are nasty beetles that have eaten some of the leaves on the squashes...abd havepretty much demolished my cucumbers...and I loove cukes!!! so sad!

black bean salad

This a a cool refreshing salad!

2 cans of black beans drained and rinsed
half a red onion chopped
one red and one green pepper ( and any other pepper you want!) chopped
a cup of frozen corn defrosted
1 garlic finely diced..to taste
1/4 cup EVOO ( for those who are not a Rachel Ray fan Extra Virgin olive oil)
4-6 TBL of red wine vinegar

mix all together and refrigerate until nice and cold.....

duck eggs

yesterday Jenna and I went to a little farm and found some duck eggs..one dozen for $2.00. We decided to scramble them as our family ( not me of course) is not very adventerous when it comes to food. I boiled one for lunch. We decided that they are much more dense than chicken eggs....not so sure I like dthem because of the texture

I hear they are great to bake with.

Great Wolf lodge

We spent last weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos...we had a great deal for a night there....yeah, Ernie and I were also there!
